The NHI New Hair Hair Transplant Center, which treats only one hair transplant, is attracting attention by successfully developing a medical cooling system to preserve the transplanted hair.

The success indicator of hair transplantation is’How long has the transplanted hair grown?’ This is called the so-called engraftment rate, and it seems to be an opportunity to obtain a higher engraftment rate by preserving the transplanted hair follicle cells at the most complete temperature of 4 degrees Celsius.

A lot of effort and attention have been paid to maintaining hair follicle cells at 4 degrees Celsius for hair transplantation at domestic and overseas hair transplant society, and there have been various attempts to keep the temperature of the hair follicle preservation solution constant using ice and refrigerant.

However, since the method using ice and refrigerant can cause an error due to the influence of the external temperature, there is a limit to the temperature maintenance.

Kim Jin-oh, director of NHI New Hair, said, “The temperature control device MCD (Medical Chilling Device) starts to maintain the absolute temperature of 4 degrees C. just before preserving the hair follicles. In addition, it has the advantage of being able to install multiple units in the operating room at the same time so that the hair follicles can be preserved as soon as they are separated.”

He added, ” NHI New Hair Hair Transplant Center has completed sufficient clinical tests by October 2013, and plans to apply a medical temperature control device MCD (Medical Chilling Device) in all future hair transplants.”
